ATTENDANCE OFFICER / STUDENT SUPPORT MENTOR
(Maternity Cover - 22.5 hours per week – term time only plus 2 additional days)
B&NES Grade 5 £14,506 per annum minimum starting salary)
Required from March 2026, an Attendance Officer / Student Support Mentor to play a key role in supporting and maintaining good attendance within the Academy.
Having achieved excellent results in summer 2025, Buckler’s Mead Academy is going from strength to strength. Our most recent Ofsted, in May 2024, judged us as a strong ‘Good’ in all areas.
Main Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and check all attendance data is accurate and up to date
- Provide weekly attendance reports to the Attendance Champion
- To work with the SEND department and Pupil Premium Lead to maximise attendance
- To work with the Attendance Champion and other leaders, to ensure the Academy’s ‘relentless drive’ on school attendance is high profile
- The successful candidate should have:
- Strong numeracy/literacy/IT skills including written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team
- A high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work on own initiative
