Are you passionate about the magic of the early years? Midsomer Norton Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This is a temporary maternity cover role starting 1st May 2026, focusing on our curious and energetic 3 to 4-year-olds.

The Details

Contract: 32.5hours, Term Time only + 2 INSET days.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:15 am – 3:45 pm (Includes a 1-hour lunch break).

Salary: Grade 3 (Scale 5–7) | £25,583 – £26,403 (Pro-rata: £19,307.01 – £19,925.85).

Understands the 3–4 Age Group: You know that this stage is about developing independence, social skills, and a love for "why?"

Is a Creative Storyteller: You can turn a simple walk or a cardboard box into a learning adventure.

Is Level 3 Qualified: You hold a recognised Early Years qualification and have practical experience in a nursery or school setting.

Values Partnerships: You understand that parents are a child's first educators and can build warm, professional relationships with families.

Is a Team Player: You are adaptable, positive, and ready to contribute to our school’s 4 core values: Ambition, Opportunity, Confidence, and Community.
