Knowle DGE is a specialist Academy for young people from Key Stages 1-5 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan with needs in the areas of Social, Emotional and Mental Health and/or Speech, Language and Communication needs (including learners on the Autistic Spectrum.)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part- time Learning Facilitator 13 hours per week to join our team. The role involves supporting young people between the ages of 6-18 successfully engage in learning, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally. We are looking for people who have vision, imagination and who are passionate about learning, raising standards and supporting quality teaching. In return we can offer you a supportive staff team, modern facilities and continual professional development. This role would be suitable for someone with previous Teaching Assistant experience or for someone with experience in youth work or care who would like to move into education.

Knowle DGE Academy  joined Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership in September 2023 and are part of a Hub of schools in the Trust focusing on educating young people aged 5 – 19 years, who have diagnosed Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

The Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership was founded in 2009 following the hard federation between Norton Hill and Somervale Secondary Schools. Since this point the Trust has grown to include other secondary schools and a large number of primary schools, which are all located in the Southwest of England. Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership provides support and challenge to all of our schools so that our entire community of children and young people can achieve their best. The unique character of each school is celebrated and nurtured to ensure choice and variety in educational provision. The Trust is committed to providing a broad, balanced and aspirational curriculum in all of its schools, so that all children and young people develop the character and qualifications needed to open doors to their future success.

If you feel you have the skills and experience necessary to join our team please contact the school.
