HEMINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL

PART-TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT

Salary £24,790 pro rata (£12.85 per hr)

19.5 hrs per week from as soon as possible

3 days a week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

A vacancy exists in our excellent team for an enthusiastic, committed Teaching Assistant to provide support in our mixed-year group key stage 2 classroom (years 3-6). The post will involve supporting class and individualised programmes for children. Support at playtimes and lunchtimes may also be required.

Additional hours may also be available for individuals able to work in our Early Years setting. Whilst an Early Years qualification would be advantageous, it is not essential.

The successful candidate will be caring, flexible and be able to stay calm in all situations.

You will also demonstrate a commitment to our school values: kindness, fairness, respect and ambition. We nurture a culture of learning where every child feels safe, happy and motivated to learn; providing every pupil with the very best opportunity to thrive.

In return, we offer you a fantastic village school with wonderful children, a friendly, dedicated team of staff and supportive parents and governors.

This is a permanent appointment starting as soon as possible.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, please call or email to book a visit.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. It also values the diversity of the workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. The successful candidate will need to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the DBS.

Deadline for applications: 21st March 2025
