We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and highly motivated teacher to join our dedicated team of PB teachers. You will be joining a friendly department with a mutually supportive ethos, and an ideal mixture of youth and experience. This has led to the department being highly successful and well-resourced, allowing teachers to focus on developing their classroom practice. Our priority is improving teaching and learning, with a focus on developing the independence of pupils in their approach to work.
PB/RE outcomes are always high in terms of attainment and progress at both KS4 and KS5. In the sixth form, over 50 students take Philosophy and Ethics and this number continues to grow.
Our school is highly successful and oversubscribed, with EBacc entries well above the national average, and successful results for students, whether they are disadvantaged, SEND or Gifted and Talented. We value the development of the whole child, and encourage students to take part in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Outdoor education is very popular with our students, and we usually have a large proportion of Y10 participating in the Bronze DofE award, with many progressing to the higher awards. We also run a range of trips each year, both abroad and in the UK, culminating in a popular 'activities week' at the end of the year.
