Actual Annual Salary (role 1 based of 19.5): £11,706 - £12,760
Actual Annual Salary (role 2 based on 13 hours): £7,804 - £8,506
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B) Based on full time hours, all year round.
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31/08/2026
Hours: 19.5 and 13
Working Pattern: 1 x Part time Mondays and Fridays 1 x Part time Mondays and Thursdays and Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Flexible working patterns for the right candidate.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with the passion and drive to make a difference to the lives of young people, both within and beyond the classroom, supporting the delivery of excellent education experiences and championing the life chances of all children in our academy. Through providing key educational, personal and social developmental support under the guidance of teaching colleagues you will support children by adopting relevant strategies and techniques, enabling them to access the curriculum, and engage with their learning to achieve their full potential. You will be working with a wide range of academy staff at all levels, receiving full ongoing training to support your development and have the ability to work term time only.
This role involves, one-to-one support - Providing support for children with high and complex needs consistently, compassionately in a structured supported way throughout the day. Classroom TA responsibilities – assisting the class teacher and supporting children individually or in small groups Flexible deployment across the school to support learning and inclusion in other classes as needed. Working closely with teachers, SENDCo, and other support staff to implement personalised strategies and contribute to a positive learning environment.

- Have an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and how a teaching assistant supports students in their learning.
- Be able to engage students and manage behaviour on a one to one or small group basis.
- Be committed to undertake relevant qualifications, e.g. Relevant nvq level 2/ 3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent, first aid qualification, to ensure ongoing professional development.

- Have strong interpersonal skills, in particular with the ability to demonstrate empathy and active listening.
- Have good planning and organisational skills, specifically with regard to learning activities and support materials.
