We are looking for a talented and inspirational Leader of SEND and EAL provision to join our team from April 2024. As the school SENCo, you will liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to co-ordinate their contribution to the continuity of educational provision for students with SEND and EAL needs.
We are looking for a committed, experienced professional to lead to this successful department in providing the coordination of SEND and EAL throughout the school. Our ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base and passion for championing special educational need; someone who strives to improve the outcomes and opportunities of SEND and EAL students.
Our recent Ofsted inspection report recognises our strong commitment to high aspirations for all students. ‘Moat Community College is a welcoming and vibrant community where pupils thrive. Positive, respectful relationships are at the heart of the school’s ethos, and staff take time to get to know pupils and their families well. Pupils are safe and supported at school. There is a culture of high aspiration.
Leaders show high levels of determination to achieve their vision of ‘learning excellence’. They have high expectations of behaviour and learning. Pupils achieve well, especially the most disadvantaged and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about the support pupils receive. Leaders and staff want the best for every pupil.’
The role will play a key part in developing confident, ambitious individuals who are emotionally and intellectually equipped for a brighter future.
We would strongly encourage you to get in touch and arrange a visit.
