Job Title: Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

Actual Annual Salary: £30,514 - £33,745 (Based on hours and term time only working weeks)

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £34,740 - £38,419 (CLF Grade E). Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Until 31 August 2026

Hours: Part-time, 24.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday / Term time only + Inset Days

Additional role info: Working Pattern = Preferably Monday to Friday 09:30 – 14:30 but may have some flexibility around this. Please feel free to call to discuss prior to applying.

About you:

You will hold:

• Knowledge and understanding of current and national issues in relation to safeguarding.

• Proven experience of working with children or young people.

• Able to work with parents, external agencies, and the wider community to take a proactive approach to safeguarding.

• A dynamic nature with innovative ideas and a passion for securing positive outcomes for all students.

• A keen interest in working with children and young people and a commitment to improving the life chances of students.

• Under the guidance of the Designated Safeguarding Lead, the successful postholder will work to ensure our practices align with current trends and national guidance.
