Job Title: Receptionist 

Actual Annual Salary: £6,140 - £6,692 based on hours and weeks worked.

Full Time Salary: £25,136 - £27,398 (CLF Grade B) based on 37 hours per week, all year round. 

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time, 10.5 hours per week term time only + insets and 1 day during the holidays. (Jobshare)

Working Pattern: Thursday 9am-1pm and Friday 9am-4pm

Provisional Start Date: 1 September 2025

We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our passionate and talented team at Bristol Metropolitan Academy:

Under the direction of senior staff, the Receptionist will provide general administrative and clerical support to the academy, primarily running the main reception desk. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role and contribute positively to the effective running of the administration function within the academy.  

About you:

You will have:  

• Good Literacy and numeracy competency – evidenced by GCSE Maths and English at Grade C 

• Appropriate First Aid qualification or willing to undertake 

• Knowledge of good practice regarding compliance/data protection/GDPR 

• Awareness of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection 

• The ability to provide a welcoming and friendly front desk environment.
