Established in 1889, and with our roots stretching back even further, Morley College London is one of the country's oldest and largest specialist providers of adult education. We provide long-term, sustainable and affordable programmes of lifelong learning across three centres – North Kensington, Chelsea and Waterloo – including 16-19 provision at North Kensington and Chelsea.
As one of only nine Specialist Designated Institutions (SDIs) in the UK, we serve more than 17,000 students through a coherent, student-centred course offer, underpinned by our mission to empower individuals and strengthen communities through education in Arts, Culture and Applied Sciences. About the Role
The College is looking to appoint a lecturer of Japanese to teach evening classes to adult learners. As most of the learners will be beginners with little or no prior knowledge of learning a foreign language, the lecturer must be able to deliver lessons in a fun and engaging manner. The lecturer will be expected to prioritise everyday communication and to delivery bite-size grammar to support progress.
We are looking for a qualified lecturer of Japanese, linguistics and/ or the teaching of foreign languages, who has experience of designing their own materials to create interactive lessons for a variety of learners. They must be familiar with the use of a virtual learning environment to support learning.
