About the Role

Morley College is a leading adult education provider in London, home to a vibrant and well-regarded jazz department with a strong performing and learning community. This role involves teaching jazz and blues piano to adult learners across a range of abilities, from beginners developing foundational skills to more advanced students refining their harmonic vocabulary and improvisational voice. The position requires teaching two blues piano classes and two jazz piano classes per week, held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 18:30 to 21:30 during term time.

About you

We are looking for an inspirational jazz and blues pianist with strong performing experience and a real passion for teaching. You will hold a relevant degree in Jazz Performance or Music and have solid experience teaching piano to adult learners across a range of levels.

As a working musician, you bring music to life in the classroom. You are aware of current developments in jazz education, comfortable using technology in your teaching, and committed to nurturing each student’s individual musical voice. You are patient, encouraging, and professionally organised, with a genuine belief in the values of adult and community education.

If you love this music and love sharing it, we would very much like to hear from you.
