The Headteacher and governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of PE and Health & Wellbeing to join a forward thinking and thriving area of the school.

The successful candidate will:
- Be confident teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
- Deliver engaging, inclusive and challenging lessons that inspire enjoyment, participation and achievement
- Plan purposeful lessons that develop physical competence, teamwork, leadership and resilience
- Use assessment effectively to support progress and personal development
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including less confident participants and high performing athletes
- Contribute to a rich extracurricular programme, including clubs, teams, fixtures and sporting events
- Maintain up to date expert subject knowledge and apply research informed approaches
- Deploy support staff effectively to enhance learning
- Manage behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy and established routines
- Lead, monitor and evaluate assessment, ensuring feedback supports pupil progress
- Follow departmental systems for monitoring attainment, progress and achievement
- Mark, grade and provide verbal/written diagnostic feedback as required
- Record, track and report on attendance, progress and development of students
- Engage fully with professional development and keep practice current
- Prioritise workload effectively and contribute to wider school initiatives
- Be a proactive and supportive form tutor who builds strong relationships, monitors wellbeing and attendance, and contributes positively to the pastoral life of the school
