We currently have a new opening for Catering Assistant to join Bridgeway federation, helping to co-ordinate day-to-day activities within the kitchen and ensuring quality services are provided to students and staff. This role will be based at Broadway Infant School.
Hours -
12.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday 11am-1.30pm, Term time only plus 5 INSET days
Job overview
You’ll be responsible in assisting with school menu planning, food preparation and cooking, and working within a wider team to ensure catering services are carried out efficiently on a daily basis, including stock control and closing down the kitchen each day.
You will work under the supervision of the Kitchen manager and along side the rest of the catering team. Bridgeway Federation operates an in house catering provision, catering for the children of Broadway Infants and The Ridge Junior School.
Job requirements
- Minimum of a Level 2 award in Food Safety (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Previous experience within catering for large numbers in a supervisory role
- Awareness of Health and Safety, COSHH, dietary and allergen requirements
- Commitment to providing a high-quality and consistent catering service with the ability to work within a busy environment
