Early Years Practitioner

We are delighted to be opening our new school-based nursery provision in September 2026 and are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated early years practitioner to join the early years team - this is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Bridgeway Nursery alongside the class teacher and early years team.

Working Pattern -

7.45am to 3.45pm - 4 days a week (inclusive of a 30 min unpaid break)

7.45am to 4.30pm - 1 day a week (inclusive of a 30 min unpaid break)

Term time only, plus 5 INSET days

Job Overview

You will work within our brand-new nursery class, supporting the Nursery Teacher and working alongside the wider EYFS staff as a valued member of the team. You will play a key role in delivering a high quality, play based EYFS curriculum across all seven areas of learning, with a strong emphasis on Communication and Language and Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED).

You will help create a safe, stimulating, inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel secure, confident and motivated to learn through purposeful play.

We are looking for someone who has:

· Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) recognised by the Department for Education.

· Experience of working within an EYFS setting, with a good understanding of the EYFS framework, child development and effective early years practice.

· Experience of delivering high-quality learning opportunities, alongside observing, assessing and supporting children's progress and development.

· Experience of supporting children’s language development, emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour, in line with EYFS expectations

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and external professionals.

· Sound knowledge of safeguarding requirements and a commitment to promoting the welfare, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.

· Ability to work as part of a collaborative EYFS team and contribute positively to the wider life of the school
