We are seeking to recruit a full time Data and Exams Manager to work at John Ferneley College.
This permanent role will be working 37 hours per week, Monday – Thursday (8.00am – 4.00pm) and Fridays (8.00am – 3.30pm) for 41 weeks per year (38 weeks term time plus 5 INSET days; plus an additional 10 days to be worked in August during GCSE’s week, and as agreed with the Line Manager.
We wish to appoint a Data and Exams Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role at John Ferneley. Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher: Outcomes, you will be responsible for all aspects of the school’s data, including a strategic oversight of the school timetable, working closely with the Assistant Head: Teaching and Learning.
You will carry out regular data reporting to lead the analysis of student progress and provide interpretation for the Senior Leadership Team and teaching staff. This vital work will support the school in striving to raise student performance and standards of teaching and learning.
We are looking for an efficient, well organised colleague who has a keen eye for detail and accuracy. SIMS knowledge, administration experience and strong IT and communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates must have the ability to work with large amounts of data and ensure accuracy and compliance with school procedures.
The post also includes responsibility for organisation and administration of all aspects of the school’s external and internal examination processes. Please note that some degree of flexibility with working hours will be needed during the examination periods.
You will be able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team. It is essential that you have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent, and have a knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour and child protection policies.

The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton. The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school; with potential numerical and geographical growth in the near future.
Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.

• Salary £14.87 - £16.70 per hour - £25,704 - £29,516 per annum
