This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher, ideally of languages (Spanish preferably) or humanities to lead our Humanities and Languages department at John Ferneley College. The successful candidate will inspire students and be an excellent role model for other staff. They will have a desire for leadership and management and this would be a natural next step for a teacher keen to progress their career. The role will provide excellent professional development with support for your development, career progression and wellbeing within our Trust.
The role will include leading the teaching, learning and curriculum development in specific areas in the Culture Faculty as directed by the Curriculum Leader.
To support the Curriculum Leader with the monitoring of progress and achievement in all subjects within the Culture Faculty for all students.
To contribute to the leadership, management and development of the whole school as a member of the Middle Leadership Team
The right candidate will have the ambition and desire to play a significant role in leading the development of the Department including monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning. The ability to teach across Key stage 3 and 4 is essential.
