Do you have a genuine love of mathematics? Are you looking for an opportunity to teach in one of the top performing mathematics departments in the country? Then this might be the opportunity for you!

We are looking to appoint a dynamic Teacher of Mathematics who will join the College family, and share their passion for mathematics with some of the most talented mathematics students from around the world.

All students at the College study A-Level mathematics and over 80% also study A-level Further Mathematics. As part of our PreA course all students study the FSMQ Additional Mathematics course. Mathematics is at the heart of the curriculum, and its central position allows us to approach all our subjects in a more mathematical way.

Stretching our students beyond the A-level curriculum is a core part of our mission. All students are entered for various national and international competitions throughout the year, and calculations can be found scribbled around the building as students pose and solve problems on the problem boards in the corridors. We have a strong history of Gold Awards in the UKMT Senior Challenge with a large proportion of students qualifying for BMO1 and BMO2 (10 students made it to BMO2 this year).

Many of our students will be applying for degrees in mathematics and mathematically related subjects, so preparing students for entrance assessments such as MAT/TMUA and STEP alongside preparing them for interviews is a core part of the department’s duties.

We reserve the right to interview applicants early and close this advertisement before the closing date if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.

All applicants must have a valid right to work in the UK and must be able to produce supporting documents.

We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
