As the Group Health & Safety Advisor, you will provide advice and guidance to staff on relevant codes of practice and legislation. You will be carrying out inspections of various curriculum areas, writing up action plans to ensure compliance and best safe practices are adhered to. You will establish and maintain premises inspections and robust methodology for undertaking and acting upon risk assessments. Your remit will be to ensure all statutory obligations are met and the working environment is safe and meets legal requirements

You will support managers embed a safety culture as well as execute ongoing monitoring to ensure we are compliant and your ability to keep up-to-date with legislation and trends as well as to utilise learning to drive continuous improvement to ensure the prevention and control of risks.

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional who; hold the NEBOSH General Certificate and is a member of IOSH. You will have a good working knowledge of health and safety improvement processes and delivering health and safety compliance for a variety of workplaces. You must be an effective communicator who is able to build relationships, priorities workloads and manage deadlines. You will be comfortable distributing policies and procedures, and ideally will have demonstrable experience in undertaking such a key role.
