The Role
We are seeking an experienced manager to provide flexible, accurate, and professional support for our Exam Access Arrangement functions. This role is crucial for ensuring effective processing of Exam Access Arrangements for NCC students across our College Group. You will work closely with Supported Learning SCMs to devise, develop, and implement strategies and plans for individual learners, managing site-based EAA Assessors and provision to ensure a consistent approach across the group. Additionally, you will oversee the assessment and processing work, providing training and guidance for staff and managers, and ensuring students receive the best possible service in a timely manner. As a group role, travel across the College Group is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee a team of SpLD Assessors and Support Tutors.
Ensure clear and consistent processes and tracking for EAA assessments.
Provide regular management reports on Group level EAA, SPLD Assessment, and Support work.
Collaborate with the Exams team to meet quality standards and regulations.
Contribute to cross-college support and training for staff.
Identify skills gaps and training needs for SpLD Assessors and Support staff.
Oversee the use of Assistive technology and recommend improvements.
Who You Are:
The successful candidate will have managerial experience and hold a Level 7 SpLD qualification along with a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC). You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, with excellent planning and organizational skills. You possess strong oral and written communication skills and are proficient in computer skills and software applications, including MS Office. Flexibility and adaptability to changing operational needs are essential. You have experience in supporting learners with additional support needs, learning difficulties, and/or disabilities, and are knowledgeable about inclusive learning and additional learning support funding. You are skilled in leading and managing teams effectively.
