The Role:
To lead and manage the Foundation Year of a four-year degree programme delivered in partnership with Bath Spa University. The Curriculum Manager will ensure high-quality teaching and learning, effective curriculum planning, and strong liaison with Bath Spa University. The role includes oversight of three student intakes per year and aims to diversify subject areas beyond business over time.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a dynamic Higher Education Foundation Year programme. You will be responsible for curriculum design, quality assurance, staff leadership, and strategic development, ensuring the programme meets both student needs and institutional goals. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and Bath Spa University to maintain excellence in delivery and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead curriculum planning and delivery in line with Bath Spa University London (BSUL) requirements.
- Manage teaching staff and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Monitor student progress, achievement, and retention, taking action to improve outcomes.
- Oversee quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets and contribute to income generation initiatives.
- Ensure effective cross-campus collaboration and staff development.
Who You Are:
We are currently seeking a Business Specialist with proven expertise in curriculum management and a strong track record of enhancing student outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of higher education policy and sector developments, coupled with excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
This is a pivotal role for a dynamic and experienced professional who holds a degree and a recognised teaching qualification. While the immediate focus is on business education, we are interested in individuals who have the experience and capability to diversify course offerings as the curriculum evolves.
