The Role:

At New City College, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Lecturer in Sport and Fitness to energise and empower the next generation of learners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across a range of sport, health, and fitness programmes, including BTEC and CYQ Level 2 & 3.
  • Teach and assess learners aged 14–19 and adults, from entry level to Level 3.
  • Support learners through personal tutoring, enrichment activities, and career progression.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, course coordination, and quality assurance.
  • Liaise with employers and external bodies to enhance student opportunities and placements.


Who You Are:

You will hold a degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Sport, Fitness, or a related field, and bring with you experience in teaching or coaching within an educational or professional setting. Your strong communication and organisational skills will support your ability to deliver engaging and effective learning. You will be committed to inclusive, learner-centred education and demonstrate a collaborative mindset, working effectively as part of a team to support student success
