About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer to join our Sixth Form team, delivering high-quality teaching in A Level History and Politics across our Hackney 6th Form and Atlee 6th Form Campuses . This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and challenge students, helping them to achieve their full academic potential and develop a deep understanding of historical and political contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in A Level History and Politics.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with departmental and awarding body requirements.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance processes, and professional development.

Who You Are:

  • A degree in History, Politics, or a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience teaching A Level History and/or Politics (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
