As our Work Experience and Employer Engagement Lead for Digital and IT, you will be at the heart of connecting education with industry. You will build strong partnerships with local, regional, and national employers, creating a wide range of opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of technology and digital innovation.
No two days will be the same. From networking with industry leaders and developing strategic partnerships to supporting students on their work placement journeys, you'll have a direct impact on student success while helping employers discover emerging talent.
Key Responsibilities
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with employers to secure high-quality work experience placements and industry opportunities for students.
- Actively engage with businesses through networking, outreach, and partnership development to expand our employer network.
- Coordinate and oversee the full work experience programme, ensuring all placements are impactful, safe, and aligned with industry standards.
- Support and inspire students throughout their placement journey, helping them maximise their experience and achieve their career goals.
- Work closely with curriculum teams to embed meaningful employer engagement and industry experiences within the Digital and IT curriculum.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously enhance the effectiveness of work experience and employer engagement activities to ensure outstanding outcomes for students and employers alike.
- Champion industry collaboration, bringing employers into the college environment through projects, guest speakers, careers events, and mentoring opportunities.
