Lecturer/Course Co-ordinator in Performing Arts:

Acting Specialist (permanent position) with additional Team Manager (Performing Arts) remission (currently fixed until Summer ’22)

To start: 3 January 2022

Salary: up to £34,587 p.a. plus £1,500 for additional team manager duties

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced acting and devising specialist to join our very successful performing arts department teaching across Level full time Level 2 and 3 programmes as well as our HNC/HND courses.

Applicants will have industry experience as well as a degree in performing arts and have experience in creating, directing and devising theatre. Teaching experience is also essential as well as having experience at internal verification. A background in acting and devising/directing theatre is essential for this role.

This may be an ideal post if you already have experience of co-ordinating and/or course leading and you wish to develop your career by gaining experience on the management ladder. You will be responsible for organising and overseeing the performing arts courses that we deliver as well as line managing the staff in your curriculum area.

You will need to be highly organised and flexible in your approach to work as well as having a high level of interpersonal, motivational and communication skills. You will enjoy a challenge, and ideally have experience of working within a team. You should have a passion for working with people of all ages, especially young adults as well as having a commitment to student learning and attainment.
