Sessional Lecturer in Counselling
£33.53 per hour
We are currently seeking applications from a professionally qualified counsellor to teach students studying on Psychodynamic Counselling at level 6.
The successful candidate will be a practising Psychodynamic counsellor/ Psychotherapist They will also have experience of working in a variety of settings i.e. a counselling agency, private practice and/or counselling related work. They will be an accredited BACP/UKCP or related ethical framework. The candidate will manage their own student groups and also be working as part of a team in the overall provision.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of recent theoretical developments. In addition, they must also be able to demonstrate their ability to hold boundaries both personally and professional with staff and students.
The successful candidate should have experience in formal teaching minimum at Diploma level 5 and hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to obtain. They must be able to demonstrate good administrative, organisational and communication skills and must be computer literate.
