SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 1

PERMANENT POST

Netherhall Mead is a very effective, well-resourced special school for pupils aged 4-19 years who have severe & profound learning difficulties.

The school is seeking to appoint Level 1 Teaching Assistant working 32½ hours per week for 39 weeks (school term time + 5 training days).

Salary: Grade Band 4, Points 7 - 10, £20,168 - £21,499 pro-rata.

The successful candidate will have good basic education.

Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS check.

Applicants will also be required to undertake pre-employment checks which will include a declaration that neither they, nor anyone who lives in the same household, is a disqualified person under the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2018 as well as other necessary checks.

Online checks will also be carried out on shortlisted candidates in line with KCSIE recommendations.
