Health and Social Care Lecturer

Fixed Term - 12 months

18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

£13,891 - £16,411 Actual / £27,783 - £32,823 FTE

(Teaching Days - Tuesday pm / Wed pm / Friday)

We seek an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time lecturer to join our Health & Social Care Department. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about shaping the minds and careers of students pursuing their qualifications in Health and Social Care.

As a Lecturer in Health & Social Care, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences across Level 2. You will engage and inspire students through a blend of theoretical and practical approaches, ensuring the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date with current practices and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons using a variety of teaching methods and techniques

• Assess and evaluate students' work, providing constructive feedback to aid learning and development

• Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure content is relevant and reflects current industry standards

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

• Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of all students


The successful applicant will have:

• Level 3 Health and Social Care

• L3 Education & Training Award

• Assessor and Interval Verifier Qualifications

• L2 English and Maths

• 2 years teaching experience


It would be beneficial if you also have:

• Mentoring/coaching qualification

• Experience delivering and organising designated area programmes

• Experience working in FE/Adult Education

• Experience of the teaching framework
