We are excited to offer this opportunity for a passionate, organised, and proactive Industry Placement Coordinator to join our team.
About the role:
At Newbury College, we are committed to providing our students with meaningful, high-quality industry placement opportunities that support their progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
As an Industry Placement Coordinator, you will play a key role in connecting our students with local employers, helping to create safe, supportive and relevant workplace experiences. You will build strong partnerships with employers, ensuring placements are compliant with safeguarding and health & safety requirements, while also meeting the individual needs of our learners
Working closely with curriculum teams, you will source and develop placement opportunities that align with students’ study programmes and career goals. You will also carry out employer checks, including due diligence and risk assessments, to ensure all placements meet the required standards.
A key part of the role involves supporting students throughout their placement journey, from preparing them for the workplace to regularly monitoring their progress through visits, reviews, and ongoing support. You will work with a diverse range of learners, including those with additional needs, helping them to build confidence, develop practical skills and succeed in a real working environment.
You will also play an active role in expanding our employer network, identifying new partnership opportunities to broaden the range of placements available. Alongside this, you will maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with funding, audit and safeguarding requirements, contributing to the college’s high standards of delivery.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will make a direct impact on students’ futures, supporting them to progress confidently into apprenticeships, employment, or further study.
