As Assistant Principal (Inclusive Learning), you will lead the Inclusive Learning teams with ambitious strategic direction. Your will focus on promoting excellence in inclusive teaching, learning, assessment and driving improvement in this area across the college. You will mentor, coach and guide staff to deliver consistently outstanding outcomes for vulnerable students and those with SEND.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and Vision: set and inspire a clear vision for SEND and inclusion, ensuring high-performing teams that are accountable and goal-oriented.
- Strategic Development: lead the college inclusion strategy, maximising funding and resources to support students effectively.
- Compliance & Innovation: ensure compliance with SEND legislation while driving innovative changes in curriculum and SEND services.
- Collaboration: work with college departments and local stakeholders to enhance support for students with SEND.
- Mentorship: provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on inclusive teaching strategies and curriculum development.

To apply for this role, you will need a professional qualification in SEND or a related field, be educated to degree level, hold QTLS and a Level 5 management qualification. You will also need to have extensive understanding of SEND legislation, policies and funding. You will need to have awareness of current research and practice in inclusive education.
