What you’ll do:

  • Lead safeguarding investigations, taking accurate statements and handling disclosures sensitively.
  • Liaise with students, staff, families, and external agencies to manage cases effectively.
  • Produce detailed investigation reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide ongoing welfare checks and well-being support for students.
  • Represent safeguarding at Mental Health Support Plan meetings and multi-agency forums.
  • Deliver advice, guidance, and safeguarding training to staff.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Support Hub, promoting continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 3 Safeguarding qualification (training can be provided). 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in safeguarding/child protection or a related field (youth work, social services, counselling, youth justice, etc).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, referral systems, and best practice.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to flexible working hours if required.
  • Level 2 English, Maths, and ICT (or willingness to achieve).
