An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational teacher to join our well-established Science Department. The position is full time, permanent and will commence in September 2023.

We have a strong tradition of academic success at KS4 and KS5, and our aim is to empower students with the science skills needed for their future lives.  An ability to teach A level would be an advantage.

All staff have access to a computer and we are committed to developing Visual Learning with classrooms having digital projectors and interactive whiteboards. The Science Department is situated off the main entrance of the School, on the ground and first floors, in a suite of 11 dedicated science laboratories.

This position is suitable for an appropriately qualified teacher and will provide the successful candidate the possible opportunity to teach across all key stages. This post would be suitable for ECTs, as the department has close links with a number of ITT providers, and experience in mentoring colleagues new to the profession, and increasing their experience across a range of externally examined courses.

We continue to be a good school, as confirmed by Ofsted following their visit in March 2018, offering a high quality of education with recent observations recognising that our students are making strong progress in the majority of subjects.
