The working week will be 35 hours spread equally over the School week, term time only plus 5 days. This is equivalent to 39 working weeks of the year.

In March 2018 Ofsted confirmed that the School continues to be a Good school.

The Receptionist will work closely with the Business Manager undertaking all aspects of providing whole school support within the Reception area, ensuring a welcoming, efficient and professional service to all visitors to, and colleagues in, the school.

The main duties of the role include overall responsibility of the Reception Area including day-to-day running of the School Reception desk and wider Reception Area, thus requiring a thorough knowledge of the switchboard, dealing with students, dealing with staff, welcoming visitors, distributing and sending mail, photocopying, etc.

In addition, our Receptionist will provide organisational and general administrative support to assist with the efficient running of the School’s support services .

The successful candidate will be required to liaise with students, parents / carers, staff, suppliers, government departments, Local Authority and, therefore, the ability to communicate to all levels is essential. The ideal applicant will have good all-round general office skills gained through professional training and / or experience, the ability to prioritise their workload, meet deadlines and have the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues.

You are more than welcome to contact the school to arrange an informal visit if you would like an opportunity to see the facilities for yourself and meet some of the staff and students at the school. I hope that having read the details from the school, and hopefully also seen the work we do here for yourself, you decide to apply for this post. If that is the case, I would like to thank you in advance for the time required for such an application and look forward to reading your letter in due course.

Applications should be by letter and fully completed application form. The closing date for this role is Friday 28 April 2023  with interviews taking place as soon as possible during the following week. However, please note that where the school receives an exceptional response, shortlisting and interviews may be arranged prior to the closing date by mutual agreement.

If you wish to discuss this position, prior to submitting an application, please contact me.
