We are looking to appoint a hard-working, well organised and dedicated Science Technician to join our Science Department in facilitating the delivery of the Science curriculum. You will be working as part of an established team who are passionate about providing the very best experience for our students.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, exceptional individual to take on the role of Science Technician who possesses the following:
- Has a good knowledge of scientific principles;
- Has the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to work on your own initiative;
- Has the ability to work creatively as an individual and as part of a team;
- Has experience and an excellent track record in the field of health and safety in a support role;
- Is confident and competent in using computers;
- Is able to cope with periods of pressure and prioritise workload accordingly so that deadlines are met.
The main duties of this position are shown in the attached job description. In additional you will be required:
- To be able to build relationships with the students and colleagues within the school
- To be proactive in adapting resources and activities
- To complete relevant safety and/or skills training as required to fulfil the job requirements.
- To be able to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills, a sense of humour and the ability to share ideas and learn from each other
- To carry out some administrative tasks as required
