We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Adult Learning to lead the strategic growth and delivery of adult education across our diverse campuses and communities.  About the Role

Reporting to the Vice Principal – Adult & Skills, you’ll take the lead in developing high-impact adult learning programmes, shifting the balance from ESOL-dominated provision to employer-driven vocational pathways. You will play a key role in meeting funder and local skills improvement priorities while ensuring exceptional learner outcomes, retention, and progression.

You will:

Drive innovation in adult education, including part-time, full-time, evening, and weekend provision.

Build strategic partnerships with local authorities, employers, and community organisations.

Manage curriculum planning, recruitment, quality assurance, and financial performance for adult learning.

Lead and inspire a team of Heads of School and curriculum managers to deliver a consistently outstanding student experience.

 What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a strong leader with:

A degree (or equivalent) and a recognised teaching qualification.

Extensive senior-level experience in adult education, FE or related skills/employment services.

A track record of successful curriculum development, stakeholder engagement, and funding management.

A passion for widening participation and improving outcomes for adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
