The Governors of Newport are looking to appoint a permanent Teacher of Art with TLR2b (approx. £5,443 pa), Teaching and Learning Progress Lead in our area of Create, including teaching Art. The Area of Learning - Create, includes Art, Music, Textiles, Drama, Dance, Film and Digital Media.
We are seeking to appoint a talented, passionate and highly motivated teacher. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for their subject and also be able to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities. The Art Teacher will be responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability for creative expression in visual terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression consistent with school guidelines; to develop aesthetic understandings and appreciations; to discover and develop the skills of their students.
Job Purpose:
To teach students within the school and be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
To raise standards of student attainment and achievement and monitor and support student progress.
To carry out such other associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Headteacher
