The Governors of Newport High School are seeking to appoint a Teacher of English with Performing Arts on a 1 year fixed term contract from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027
We are seeking to appoint a talented, passionate and highly motivated teacher. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for developing literacy skills to a high standard and also be able to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
Job Purpose:
• To teach students within the school and be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
• To raise standards of student attainment and achievement and monitor and support student progress.
• To carry out such other associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Headteacher
