The Role:

The Careers and Progression Officer is a new post, offering an exciting opportunity to join our Careers team.

 Key responsibilities;

The Careers and Progression Officer will work across all aspects of the learner journey, working closely with the Careers teams across Newham College London. The role will involve close internal working with curriculum and support teams, and liaison work with universities, employers and various stakeholders. The ability to work collaboratively is key. The post holder will support the College in delivering our Careers Strategy.

 Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience.

The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mind-set and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools. Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop our learners and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners

This role is an exciting developmental opportunity for an appropriately qualified lecturer to gain further skills in this area.

Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults

The salary for this position is inclusive of London weighting. Please note that it is Newham College’s policy to offer all roles at the entry point of the salary scale advertised.
