Job overview

To take a pivotal role in ensuring high quality Learning and Teaching across the department in ensuring maximum success for all. To be a champion in developing the delivery of Teaching and thereby ensuring high quality Learning within the department, and at times through CPD, across whole school. To be a role model for the school community and raise levels of school achievement across KS4-KS5. The ideal person will have the ability to create an environment that enables students to thrive and achieve through generating enthusiasm across the whole department, in lessons and in the extra-curricular opportunities provided, across all year groups and subjects.

The right candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant specialist qualifications and experience (e.g BSc in Business and/or Computing  or related degree)
  • Ability to deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons covering a range of modules and concepts
  • A good understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements for Mathematics
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning to ensure all learners progress and achieve to a high standard in preparation for examinations
