Do you have in depth experience in the plumbing and heating trade and want to inspire the next generation? Whether you’re already working in education and looking for your next role, or if you’re working in industry and looking to change your career path, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join our Building Services Engineering curriculum team in readiness for the start of the 2025/26 academic year.

Sharing your knowledge to unlock potential whilst guiding our learners through their studies, you’ll work as part of the curriculum team to create and deliver lessons across a range of qualification levels, inspiring achievement and the best possible outcomes. The successful candidate will be a team player, an excellent communicator, and able to maintain a proactive approach to managing deadlines, whilst retaining a high standard of delivery.

We’re looking for someone with a wealth of experience in the trade who wants to pass their craft on whilst helping young people to develop and become employable. Whether your experience is domestic or commercial, we’re sure you may have something offer. We’re passionate about making learners work-ready and teach all aspects of the trade to learners. From measuring and pipe-bending to health and safety, we teach all elements of installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing and heating systems in ‘real-life’ workshops so that learners develop the skills that they need to be successful in the trade. We want you to help us to inspire the workforce of the future and to put them on a path to meaningful careers by sharing your knowledge, experience and passion for the trade.

Examples of what you might be teaching include fitting radiators, working on hot and cold-water systems, connecting pipework with various methods, including soldering, push-fit and compression. Our learners learn how to fit bathroom and kitchen suites and how to test and diagnose problems and repair them. We believe that it is not just knowledge, but practice that sets our learners up to be successful and we’re looking for someone who can help us to develop our provision and help us to make links with employers.
