The Role

We are looking for a confident and creative Marketing and Administration Assistant to join our team from September 2025 on a maternity cover basis. You’ll be an essential part of the Marketing team, helping to deliver internal and external communications and events that attract and retain families from across Nottingham.

This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent project management, strong communication skills, and a warm, professional presence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the smooth organisation and delivery of key school events such as Open Day, Taster Days, concerts, and awards ceremonies.
  • Creating and publishing engaging content for our website and social media platforms, including copy, imagery, and video.
  • Supporting the TOTs (2–3-year-old) programme and Outreach activities.
  • Drafting newsletters and parent communications.
  • Providing administrative support including reception cover and reprographics.

🕔 Some evening and weekend work will be required to support events. Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be available.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone who is:

• ✅ Organised – able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• ✅ Independent – confident working autonomously and to tight timescales.

• ✅ Detail-oriented – with excellent written and verbal English.

• ✅ Digitally skilled – confident using Microsoft Office and creating content for social media.

• ✅ Personable – enjoys engaging with children and families and providing a warm welcome to visitors.

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade C or above.
  • Strong ICT skills (Word, Excel, email, web).
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Experience of creating content for social media.
  • A professional, flexible, and calm approach to work.

Desirable::

  • Experience with Canva or similar design tools.
  • Previous experience in a school or customer service environment.
  • Experience of working with young children.
  • A level or higher, qualification (or equivalent) in a related subject

Contract terms:  Part-time (32 hours per week) M-F, fixed-term, term-time only maternity cover. The FTE salary range advertised will be pro-rated accordingly based. Based on the lower and upper end of the salary range, actual earnings would equate to £19,058 - £21,546 per annum, respectively.
