The successful applicant will be able to:
- Demonstrate a clear vision in maintaining and developing our school in partnership with the staff, governors, parents and the local authority
- Raise standards of attainment and achievement for all pupils
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Additional Learning Needs including moderate learning difficulties provision to support pupils within the learning support classes who are an integral part of the school
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding practices and policies
- Have a detailed working knowledge of Curriculum for Wales
- Lead, manage and motivate staff and pupils
- Demonstrate a proven track record in school leadership, management and school improvement
- Promote the development of dynamic teamwork and collective responsibility across the whole school
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Ensure the efficient and effective management of the budget and all resources within the school
- Understand the importance of the school at the heart of its community
