The governing body of Waunceirch Primary is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated member of staff who is suitably qualified and experienced to play a key role in the development of the school as Deputy Head Teacher and ALNCo. The post will also hold a 0.4 teaching commitment.
The successful person will:
• be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong commitment to raising pupil achievement and is able to lead by example
• be able to work alongside the head teacher and governors to develop a clear vision and culture for the school
• be able to show evidence of strategic planning which has contributed to school improvement
• have good understanding of emerging technologies and the use of ICT within the curriculum
• be able to provide effective curriculum leadership, interpersonal skills and able to motivate and inspire others
• show a commitment to develop the mental, emotional and physical well-being of pupils for improved learning
• be able to understand the importance of the school at the heart of its community
• be an outstanding teacher with a knowledge of ALN and ALN transformation and will need to attend all relevant training.
• have excellent organisation skills,
• be able to keep detailed records
• be able to work to deadlines.
