Melin Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive school at the heart of its community, where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning. The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational professional who is suitably qualified and experienced to play a key role in shaping the future of the school as Deputy Head Teacher and Class Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head Teacher, staff, governors and wider school community to drive continuous school improvement, maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and ensure the very best outcomes for all pupils.

     The successful candidate will:

• be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong commitment to raising pupil achievement and is able to lead by example

• be able to work alongside the head teacher and governors to develop a clear vision and culture for the school

• be able to show evidence of strategic planning which has contributed to school improvement

• be able to provide effective curriculum leadership, interpersonal skills and able to motivate and inspire others

• show a commitment to develop the mental, emotional and physical well-being of pupils for improved learning

• be able to understand the importance of the school at the heart of its community

• be an outstanding teacher with a sound knowledge of ALN and ALN transformation 

• have excellent organisational skills 

• be able to keep detailed records

• be able to work to deadlines 

• be committed to ensuring the very best experiences for the pupils
