Temporary Teaching Assistant General Level 2 (2 positions)

28.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year

Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3-5 (£16,502-£17,025) (pro rata). (subject to term time adjustment). The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1st September.

The Governing Body of St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Neath is seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants Level 2, who are sympathetic to the Catholic Ethos of the school, to join our supportive and skilled team.

These roles will involve 1:1 support within our Early Years setting, providing tailored assistance to pupils with additional learning needs (ALN). You will play a key role in helping children feel included, confident and able to access the curriculum.

We are looking for individuals who are:-

- Have experience working with young children, ideally in an Early Years setting

- Are patient, nurturing and able to build positive relationships

- Understand how to support pupils with additional learning needs 

- Work effectively as part of a team and show initiative

- Are flexible, proactive and committed to continuous improvement

- Support the development of independent learners

- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

The successful candidate must be qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
