Thank you for your interest in joining Ysgol Cwm Brombil as a Ready to Learn Behaviour Support Officer. This is a Term Time post and will be for 35 hours per week.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated individual to join our dedicated team and play an important role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviours and achieve their full potential.
At Ysgol Cwm Brombil, we believe that every pupil deserves the opportunity to succeed. Our Ready to Learn provision plays a vital role in making this ambition a reality, providing a structured, supportive and purposeful environment in which pupils can reflect, develop the skills needed to make positive choices and successfully re-engage with learning.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of young people. The successful candidate will be able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, demonstrate patience and resilience when faced with challenging situations, and combine a caring and supportive approach with consistently high expectations.
We are particularly interested in individuals who recognise that behaviour is often a form of communication and who are committed to helping young people develop the emotional regulation, resilience and personal responsibility needed to succeed both in school and beyond.
As a school, we are ambitious for our pupils and equally ambitious for our staff. Guided by our shared values of Aspiration, Belonging and Character, we are committed to creating an inclusive, positive and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to grow and succeed.
We place significant value on professional learning and development, offering opportunities for staff to strengthen their practice, develop new skills and progress in their careers. You will be joining a forward-thinking school with a strong sense of purpose, a commitment to continuous improvement and a genuine belief in the power of positive relationships.
Above all, we are looking for someone who believes in young people, is prepared to go the extra mile to support them and wants to be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference every day.
The closing date for applications is 12.30 pm on Monday 2 November 2026. Shortlisting and interviews are expected to take place during the same week.
If you would like to discuss the role further before submitting your application, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school. All contact details are within the attached Job Pack.
I look forward to receiving your application.
Yours faithfully,
Shaun Clarke
