27.5 hours per week.
The Governing body of The Federated Primary Schools of the Upper Afan Valley seek to appoint a suitably qualified, caring and committed individual to the fill the vacancy of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, helping to support and deliver learning to pupils. The post is based at Glyncorrwg Primary School.
The successful candidate must:
• Be enthusiastic about working with children and have relevant experience in schools
• Be resilient when faced with challenging situations
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Be a good communicator and team member, who is caring, flexible and approachable helping to motivate learners to succeed
• Be reliable and dependable
A minimum of 4 GSCEs, including English and Maths at Grade C or above is desirable as well as a qualification (or working towards) an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Ideally you will have experience in this kind of position but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
