Coed Hirwaun Primary School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
Job overview
You’ll be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. You’ll contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met.
Job requirements
- Provide high-quality classroom support and deliver learning activities across all year groups during teachers' PPA time.
- Provide short-term cover for staff absence, including sickness, training courses, meetings and management release time, ensuring continuity of learning for pupils.
- Deliver planned learning activities and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment in line with school policies and procedures.
- Monitor pupils' engagement, progress and wellbeing, providing appropriate support to promote positive outcomes.
- Assess, record and report on pupils' achievement, progress and development in accordance with school procedures.
- Promote pupils' social, emotional and educational development, maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement at all times.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and other members of staff to support teaching, learning and inclusion throughout the school.
- Support the effective day-to-day running of the school by responding flexibly to changing staffing and operational needs.
