School Minibus driver
20 hours per week – Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Salary: Grade 3 (SCP 3-5): £11,580 - £11,948 pa*.
The Governing Body of St Joseph's Catholic School and Sixth Form Centre is seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and flexible School Minibus Driver to join our dedicated team. This is a vital role supporting the safe transport of pupils to and from school each day. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving one of our school minibuses on morning and afternoon routes, ensuring pupils arrive safely, on time, and ready for the school day.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Safely transport pupils on designated morning and afternoon routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure the safety and well being of all passengers at all times.
• Maintain accurate records such as mileage logs when required.
• Uphold the school’s values and represent the school positively to families and the wider community.
Essential Requirements
•A clean and valid UK driving licence with full D1 category (MIDAS training will be provided)
• A reliable and punctual individual with excellent communication skills.
• Experience of working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
• A calm, responsible and friendly manner.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
*The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1st September.
