The Governing Body, staff, and pupils at Crynallt Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and motivated Early Years Teacher to join our dedicated team within our nursery provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the earliest stages of children’s education, supporting their development through a creative and engaging curriculum in line with the Curriculum for Wales. In addition to leading our nursery provision, the successful candidate will also deliver PPA cover across the school, teaching pupils in a variety of different year groups. This aspect of the role offers a varied teaching experience and the opportunity to work collaboratively across the whole school community.
The successful candidate will:
- be a high calibre, inspiring teacher who plans worthwhile learning opportunities for our pupils building on the pupils’ knowledge, skills and experiences;
- be an excellent classroom practitioner with a deep understanding of how children learn successfully within the principles of the Curriculum for Wales;
- have experience of working across all year groups in primary and be able to provide high quality learning experiences leading towards the four purposes while developing pupils’ integral and cross-curricular skills;
- have high expectations of the children academically and socially;
- maintain excellent standards of behaviour;
- have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to all areas of school life;
- be able to effectively lead and support nursery staff, while working collaboratively as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic early years team.
-be committed to their own professional learning;
- possess excellent organisation and communication skills with staff, parents, and pupils;
Welsh language skills are not necessary.
