Lecturer: Carpentry and Joinery (Newtown College)

To carry out a full range of teaching duties and administration associated with the delivery and management of learning programmes as appropriate.

Salary: Associate Lecturer Scales 1 – 4, £21,136 - £24,943 per annum, pro rata. Main Grade Scales 1 – UP1, £26,911 - £38,680 per annum, pro rata (for qualified lecturers).

Hours of Work: Band A. Annualised hours 699.6 – 835 (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends).

Contract: Permanent, Flexible fractional.

Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (initially based at Newtown College).

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Level 3 NVQ/Advanced Craft Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery and have relevant industrial experience. You should also hold a level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 2. Candidates must also hold a teaching qualification although training may be provided.
